Located in the heart of the World Heritage historic centre, the unique architecture of the façade dates back to the turn-of-the century. The Palácio da Bolsa and most important monuments, as well as traditional arts and crafts shopping are within walking distance. The area is well known for its tiny bistros and street vendors. The hotel was recently renovated and furnished. There are 36 ensuite bedrooms with all the modern facilities, small sized though. Breakfast is served in the hotel breakfast room. There is also D. Nuno's Bar in the hotel and the "Ribeira" restaurant nearby. |

| 12.05.2003 John Berg (Denver, Colorado) This is an excellent hotel, well managed, courteous and attentive personnel and closer to a four star rating rather than the published three star designation they advertise. The rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable. The location is perfect: dead center of the historic district for sightseeing and walking distance to the port lodges which are just across the river. We enjoyed our stay there so much that we altered our plans so that we could spend an additional night there. The breakfast which was included with our voucher was also very good. | | |

The airport bus dropped us right outside the hotel and staff at the hotel were able to arrange for the bus to pick us up again at the end of our holiday. All the staff spoke perfect english and we would heartily recommend this hotel. | | |
| 29.01.2003 Allan (UK) Very nice hotel, well situated to see all of Porto on foot. Car parking is at an underground car park a few minutes away. Also it is very close to the old fruit market that is now used as a concert hall, we had a "Rock Concert" till 3 in the morning. | | |
